Aims and objectives for the "B side"
To
To run a theatrical community group for adults (16+) that regularly meet for discussions, readings, critiques, workshops and classes to build up knowledge, confidence and experience within individuals. We will work towards the following:
- To build a fully interactive and beneficial fee based membership group, of talent and supporters alike
- Hold regular meetings to get members involved in readings, rehearsals, studies or classes
- Stage performances to the RTC's supporter membership audience and general public, performed by B-side members to offer them the opportunity of gaining sector experience
- To encourage and nurture potential talent who wish to push themselves further in the performance arts sector and audition for professional paid roles within RTC's A-side productions or for other theatre companies
- To provide an environment for established actors to 'keep fit' and remain stage ready by being actively involved in classes / workshops
- To give a platform for new writers / directors to experiment and try out their ideas
- To engage the wider community in theatre productions as both participants and appreciators
Conditions:
- Age requirement 16 years +
- 1st session no obligation - pop along, no membership required
- Further sessions require you to be a registered RTC Member (minimum entry level Affiliated member - see here for membership packages)
- Flexible weekly attendance - come and go as you wish on a weekly basis, sessions held every Wednesday 7pm, Gharb, Gozo
- Attendance participation subs fee of €3 pay as you go (or more acurately pay when you turn up!) - option for discounted subs if paid per quarter
